Hi Guys,

Thanks in advance for any help you can offer!

I have recently moved to a new house, which has a Vaillant turbomax pro 24e installed. Could anyone tell me what they think of this boiler? Should it be able to supply 6 radiators, and provide a reasonable flow of domestic hot water?
Currently the boiler only supplies 2 radiators, and provides a pretty poor flow of hot water to the taps, however I have noticed that although the house has 22mm pipes taking the hot water flow to the bathroom and kitchen, this 22mm pipe is reduced to 15mm where it joins the boiler - should this boiler be able to supply a 22mm pipe directly without having to reduce it to 15mm where it connects (which presumably reduces the flow of water)?
The reason I'm asking this is that I'm expecting a plumber round later to give a quote for some work, and from previous experience he will try to push me towards buying a new boiler which is an expense I could well do without at the moment! If this boiler should be capable of meeting my needs at the moment I would rather keep it for the timebeing.

i have a 28 in my house with 7 rads and hot water flow isnt bad. 15 mm is standard connection on vailliant. cant see yours being that much different but im sure there are lots of people who can tell you more specifics

This combi will adequately heat many more radiators than you are intending to use it for.

The HW flow will be around 10 l/min, not that brilliant, but just about good enough for a shower and sink.

You may however struggle to fill a bath quickly in mid winter with this model.

if you are happy with the HW performance, then there is no reason you should need to replace this combi.

Thanks guys :)

That's reassuring, the plumber has been round now and (for the first time ever!) he didn't suggest a new boiler either, so hopefully all is well.
