Hi Please could some one confirm this is the correct PCB No. 252945 for the thermostat card non hybrid version. There is a time delay fault on boiler so I think this card needs to be changed. Thanks for taking time to read .

Is that it, a time delay, try giving us a bit more and you might save yourself a few bob, although I can't guarentee it.

Sorry I meant anti cycling device it delays the boiler firing when the boiler stat switches off&on again,My boiler will only fire up once unless the hot water calls or boiler is switched off and back on again on the big red button.I bought what I thought was correct card but later found out there is two types fitted to this boiler hybrid/non hybrid I got wrong one!!So just want to make sure I get correct card this time round I have the non hybrid type.

Hi mouse if it's non hybrid time delay is on mother board it was altered in 1986 with the release of the hybrid to the middle pcb electronic if it is definitely non hybrid u need mother board 130277

Thanks bunnyman for your reply have you ever used All Spares Direct where you exchange cards and they repair? They are quoting £30 for this card and a year warranty !Does this sound good value?Tried eebayno look there.

Also what I noticed when looking at boiler previous It was suggested that the time delay on anti cycle can be adjusted on a small POT. but when I had a look this card never had this adjustment POT.on although it had cover screw on main outer casing to suggest a + and - adjustment is this normal?

Sorry mouse I have just given myself a slap for given u wrong advice,u r in fact correct 252945 has the time delay pot,,, if u look strainght down on pcb u can c the pott on it with plus an minus so just to clarify on early non hybrid u adjust time delay on the middle pcb itself ,,with the hybrids u remove screw on aluminium facia an adjust there, however although u adjust here the actual time delay is still on middle pcb ,the aluminium facias did cross over in production so although the screw is there on the front facia there is no adjustment screw behind it,,sorry for confusion!

I nearly posted a reply putting you right Bunnyman! Yeah, time delay adjusted on middle pcb on non-hybrids (green mother board with 3 position pump mode selector & brass spindle for temp knob confirms).

I'd also check that the servo valve is returning correctly after dhw, and hydraulic tubes are not starting to block up to servo and diverter valve. Also if its non-hybrid, the throttle on the hydraulic diverter may require cleaning (remove small pin + tiny disc). But its worked OK up to now, so my guess is thats been done.

Faulty pcbs are L O W down the list of probability! Make sure the pump mode selector is in 1 as well, not 2.

Cheers

Thanks the bunny's is the pump mode selector the small white triangular pin?Have removed and cleaned all small bore tubes on boiler.'the throttle on the hydraulic diverter ' is this the pin that moves up and down when DHW called ? If servo valve is not returning correctly after dhw will dhw start again but heating won't ? And I am puzzled to why it will always start when RED power button is switched on and off!! I am off too have another go today Try and get rid of some of this excess turkey!!
