My 28 year old Vaillant VCW GB 282E has sprung a leak. It is dripping about a tablespoon of water a day from the plastic dhw heat exchanger. (yes it still has the plastic one.

There appears to be quite a lot of kits around on the auction site but all seem to lack fitting instructions.
The hardware I think is obvious but mine is a hybrid (plastic spindle on thermostat knob) and I live in a hard water area. I believe this means I need to cut a link on a pcb?
Does anyone happen to have a copy of the instructions that I could have please?
