Have just bought new house and discovered that bathroom radiator is leaking beyond repair. Have turned it off, but it bubbles and whistles when heating is on and seems to be sucking in air. Gradually all the other radiators in house are cooling down too (I'm freezing!) Have tried bleeding the other radiators but not much air comes out. Have been told by friend that this is due to all of water leaking out of system (over a full bucket's worth in past five days) and that I need to increase the water level by turning a valve to let more water in. Does anyone know which valve this is, where it is located on the boiler and how to do it? This is my first house so I'm a DIY novice! (Have bought new bathroom radiator but it's not being fitted for another week, and am not sure I can survive without heating until then!) Any advice gratefully received!
