Vaillant vcw282gb no hot water

Hi guys, I have a problem with a old vaillant vcw282gb boiler the central heating works fine but I can only get hot water when holding down a black trigger on the servo valve behind the boilers front cover, What could be causing this issue and is it going to set me back much to get it fixed? Diaphragm in the water valve, probs just a few quid.

Where can I pick up a replacement? would my local DIY shop have a generic one or is it more manufacturer specific?

It's manufacturer specific. Either your local boiler spares merchant or online.

i think theres an ajustment on those valves so the pin hits the microswitch until you can get a replacment part ,have a look in the mi's
