I have had a Vaillant 837 fitted with a timeswitch 140 but no room stat. Am now looking to add a room stat, vailant doc's sat the VRT30 is compatible so I've brought a VRT 30 analogue stat. I've had a look at the documentation for connecting the stat and wanted to ask you guru's out there if its easy to install.
3 wires on the boiler labled 3,4,5 and the same on the vrt30 (3,4,5).
Theres abit in the doc im confused about, page28 "the wire between timeswitch ON terminal and boiler terminal 4 should be broken by the contacts of the room stat". Is this for external non vaillant timeswitch and stat?
Should have insisted on having it installed at the time the boiler went in but was told didnt need it.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
