The boiler fires up fine on the timer, providing heating to the radiators but does not fire up when I turn the hot water tap on or shower etc. This does not seem to be a problem of diverting water, the boiler actually does not fire up. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.

hi guys,

its a Valiant turbo max 242e. I read a different thread that suggested that the pressure was too low and indeed it is close to 0 so I am hoping you will tell me to just incraese the pressure and bobs my uncle? (Bob is in fact my uncle, so that would work)

If the pressure is at zero and you know it should be at 1.5 then I dont think you have to ask anyone to repressurise it!

Its not likely to work properly with no pressure!
