Hot water is fine with no issues , today the central heating isnt working , what it is doing is coming on ,the temprature is rising very quickly , satisfying itself and switching off , neither heating pipe gets hot at all , Pump gets very hot and is very corroded on its casing , I am suspecting the pump is knackered , anything else I could be missing ?? Cheers guys , also will a standard pump head fit or is a valliant pump a specialist order only item just to pi$$ me off

Sounds like the diverter valve is not moving, pump will be fine as its not showing an overheat code.

These boilers are difficult to fault find on without specialist knowledge as the DV involves a solenoid and hydraulics. I would be using an engineer who is conversant with this range, or alternatively contacting Vaillant for a fixed price repair.

Do you not have a Gas safe engineer who regularly services it?

I am with 831 on this u r goin to need a specialist on this model they r very tricky, forget the pump that must b ok if u have ht water ,

Spoke to tech support this morning and they are fairly sure it is the divertor valve , cheers guys .
