valliant ecomax 824/2e problem

The time clock seems to be working its ticking round and the light comes on when the heating should be on. The thermostat I really cant tell but the light is on and it clicks on and off when you turn is up or down.

Ive been digging round for information and it looks like the status code means that theres no external demand for heat!! As it was working fine up until a couple of days ago and nothing has been touched since I dont know why this would change on its own :? I tried to follow the diagnostic instructions but when it should be changing from 0 which means no demand to 1 which means demand it doesnt change over? I really cant afford a plumber to come out and charge a bloody fortune if its just the case of me needing to press a couple of buttons, someone out there must have some ideas??

What is your definition of a "bloody fortune" ?

There is clearly a fault and I have listed the possibilities of the areas concerned.

Since it needs an engineer to do tests on the boiler then I dont see you have much alternative!

Boilers dont get repaired by pushing buttons! Its not Startrek !

you should probably get him to service it at the same time... as I suspect you've never had it done.
