Hello, my Valliant ecotec pro 24 boiler randomly switches itself on and off at night but does not fire up. Sounds like the pump is running. I have no fault codes. Summer mode is active (5.31) and the selector dial with timer/on/off is in 'off' mode. Is this normal for it to switch on at night and in the morning? Other than that the boiler appears to work fine. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance

If it is preheat (think it has a "C" on the display when on) then turn the hot water knob all the way to low (anticlockwise) and then back up to the desired temperature to deactivate. If you go all the way to high (clockwise) it will reactivate.

Thanks - appears to be all good now!! Who would have guessed preheat was the fault? :)
