Please could anyone advise if they have had a similar problem or what the fix might be to the below problem with a Valliant vcwgb 242eh;
The boiler fires up ok and brings the house up to the required thermostat temp approx 18. When the temp drops and the boiler then has to fire up again...the gas ignites and the heat comes on the rads...yet the gas then goes off. Straight away the gas fires up then it goes off again, then it fires up again. This was happening every couple of minutes now its happening every few seconds. We get a constant clicking on/off of gas.
I also noticed yesterday whilst running a bath...the gas kept turning itself on and off and the water tempreture dropped ??? The pressure is about 2.5 bar whilst in use.
Any help would be appreciated because we cant afford a new boiler.
