I have recently bought a second hand portable Valor calor gas heater, there was a bottle with it that lasted about a week.

Having just put a new gas bottle in it i have found the heater goes off by it's self sometimes.

There is a definite click when it turns off, is there an over heat sensor on these things or a timer that turns it off or have i got a problem with it ?

Cheers, Aqua

Needs checking by an LPG registered corgi.

Possible pilot light injector partially blocked.

Thanks Dave, just thought it weird that it runs fine for 2-3 hours then cuts off, 5 minutes later it works ok again for 2-3 hours.

Dont know if these have an oxygen depletion system fitted to the pilot assembly, so it will shut off if fumes build up in room.

Deffo get a corgi in to inspect ;)
