It never rains but it pours! (check my other recent problems)
On moving the slider control and holding to the ignition position not getting any ignition or the sound of anything trying to ignite. Have put in fresh battery but no joy. Can this be solved by me a diy pygmy or do I need a reasuring man in blue overalls?

follow the slider arm down, and you will find a gnurled bolt holding it to the lever on the fire chassis., undo this bolt to remove the slider, now try to ignite by pushing the lever arm down.

if it ignites, there is either a problem with your slider, or the adjustment on the gas valve position.

if there is still no spark, your looking at either the micro switch or spark generator...
