Firstly it is not a Motorised head, it is a THERMIC head diffrent entirely
I have no idea where you would find a Thermic head to fit that valve
I suspect you will have to repalce the valve and head as a unit
Danfoss make electric Thermic valves and actuators for use on underfloor systems have a look at the Danfoss website
you would have to make sure that you select the correct valve orientation, voltage and work out if the valve opens or closes on applying voltage. Once you have worked that out you should find suitable parts from Danfoss
Just had a look at Pic 2 it looks like a Tour & Andessen Valve so you probalby wont find one of that make
BUT it looks to me like the valve is stuck shut
apply some wd40 to the valve pin and then gently tap the pin with a SMALL hammer - GENTLY you may find that the pin will then sping upward a few more mm and allow water to flow, if this is the case there may not be anything wronfg with the valve or head other than it was stuck
for more info have a look at Sticky "free up a TRV (thermostic Radiator valve) - it is the same procedure
Thanks Boilerman 2 that is really very helpful.
I have released the pin as you suggest and that has turned the flow of water off.
The thermic head does not work when connected it blows a fuse and looks as if water has got in I assume the gland is weeping and may also require attention.
Siddha, I hope you've got sorted by now. I have the same ICC valves in my underfloor heating system and am just replacing one. Several manufacturers make replacements, e.g. Danfoss, Myson, Honeywell, Uponor, etc. They go under different names such as Thermal Actuator, Thermoelectric Actuator, etc. but they all perform the same function. The difficult bit is to get the one with the correct connection, -there are many different types. Mine (same as yours it seems) is M28 X 1.5 thread (as per your typical thermostatic radiator valve). Measure this up yourself. Everybody seems to do the M30 X 1.5 which is not the same! Neither Danfoss nor Honeywell do it. I got sorted out with Heating Controls Online Ltd. They offer an actuator and a separate M28 X 1.5 adaptor. Check out,- http://www.heatingcontrolsonline.co.uk/thermal-actuator-adaptor-p-882.html http://www.heatingcontrolsonline.co.uk/multifit-thermal-actuator-240v-p-396.html.
Hope this helps.
