varnished doors

i have varnished one of my door and it has dripped on the top and dryed if i sand it in the area were it has dripped then rearnish in that area it wil lokk different is there any other ways of doing it

but i am assuming youve varnished the top and its run down the sides!!!!

if this is the case you need to make shure the drips are fully dry
or possibly removing the top layer of the drip with a sharp chisel[to aid drying] making shure its completly flat on the surface of the door so it doesnt cut the wood

then feather in the area making shure its a completely broken uneven edge

you got the problem but what does feather mean.i am guess lightly touch up?

ok feather means taper in the edge so it from solid [1mm thick to nill ]over an area
but the idea is you can re treat the area and because theres an edge thats iregular and uneven it will fade into the background and you wont see the join
