Vauxhall central locking very poor range

Hi guys, first post in this sub forum...

2005 Vauxhall Combo, the remote central locking now only works when I'm either in the van or when I'm stood outside right next to the drivers door with the key pressed against my head (little trick to improve the range).

I've replaced the battery and of course it did nothing. Any ideas??

maybe silly but does your fob only have 1 battery?
i know on my old ford fob there were 2.

Yes just one battery!

try reprogramming it, i think on a vauxhall you turn the ignition switch on and operate either the lock or unlock button. The locks should operate as you do this to confirm its done
