Vauxhall combo 1.3cdti. dicky dials

My 57plate ex BG combo van is suffering from the dancing dials.

They drop off and then jump back.

Sometimes totally stop and if motor shut off it wont start

I know it's not the dials. I've got the binnicle hanging out so when it happens I can wiggle the cable to get van going again

Does anyone know the true cure?

How old is the vehicle battery?

Quite new.

But it ain't the battery.

It's a common issue with the vehicles.

Just not
seen anyone discuss a cure
