Vauxhall corsa 1.4 automatic problem

Hey guys looking for advice or a possible solution I have a 1.4 vauxhall corsa automatic 2012 the engine management light came on the code said service gearbox vauxhall checked it and said it wasn' going in to first gear and to get it checked by a specialist had anyone else had this or know what the problem could possible be?

Oil change may cure it, depending on how well, or not, it’s been serviced in the past?

Your Vauxhall dealer isn't a specialist? Find a transmission specialist , they'll know if the box has known problems. Is it a proper auto or an easytronic?

Hey thanks for the replies I'm taking it in on Wednesday to the auto specialist when the RAC checked the codes it said P2544,Transmission Torque Request Signal Message Counter Incorrect gearbox it' a full auto
