Hi, can anyone help me with the following problem:
Between 1500 and 3000 revs, my Vectra miss fires and the engine hunts up and down - it is impossible to keep it at one speed. The power gradually fades away and jerks back in all of a sudden. The engine management light is always on and when it is cold, you have to keep your foot on the throttle for at least 30 seconds otherwise it cuts out. It is terrible to drive! It's had a new throttle body, coil pack, sparkplugs and a new cat - please let me know if you have any idea what the problem can be!!!! (p.s the car has only done 63,000 miles).
Many thanks

agree with above but go for crankshaft sensor first, bit of a mission as they go around the pump i think, so you will find you may need to cut old one out and new one can be routed different way you will see.
