Have had three Velux windows installed with Zil insect screens attached to the interior walls. The screens are too big for the window aperture overlapping the walls about 30cms on both sides. I know that the length of the insect screens can be adapted, but does anyone know if the width of the roller mechanism can also be reduced, similar to that when fitting a roller blind. I have removed one Zil screen and am prepared to open it up and sacrifice if need be as we are really not happy with the way they look - not at all like on the product photos and would like to refit them ourselves so that the tracks are situated on the vertical edge of the window openings. Any help gratefully received.
