I have an open heating system which I part drained to change a leaky valve. When I turned it back on it only part filled the rads. Tried to bleed but still no upstairs rads would fill.

Then fully drained the system from the valve at the lowest point and tried to fill again. Now not filling at all. The header tank is still full but no water going into system at all.

If it helps, the boiler is an ideal wlx. Any ideas will be greatly appreciated

Thanks

Have a look at FAQ number 24.
Do clean out your header tank as well if it dirty before you start.

You could try connecting a hose to mains cold water and fit to drain point and fill from the bottom up, if you see what I mean?!

either a blocked cold feed (usually at the tee piece/air separator joined part of the primary system) - or a bad airlock. as suggested you could try filling up the system from bottom to top using a hose pipe.. but you will need someone inthe loft too!
