My Potterton Flamingo 40 boiler started kettling in the last week and (i think) i've traced the problem to a faulty Grundfos pump (15/50*18). Have swapped it over for a new 15/50 this morning. I've followed the instructions for bringing it online but all i got was a slight puff (!!!) from the vent screw. I was expecting a good gush of water.

Both HW and CH are working fine.

I'm concerned that i may damage it because its got an airblock in the head.

Should i be happy with a slight puff?

Cheers guys,

I've no idea where that smilie came from. It was a 15 slash 50 by 18.

No takers out there?

I've just tried again and the water does dribble out.

Should it do any more than this?

If its running quietly and you've had water out the front then its fine.
