My hot water gets very hot even though the boiler is only ever on 'central heating' only. Plumber has changed valve and thermostat but still not solved issue. Any ideas please?
Hi guys, sorry for lack of info. It's an ordinary conventional worcester bosch boiler, not a combi. We do have an electrical immersion heater in our cylinder but we never switch it on. The new thermostat is set at 50C. The plumber tells me both valves are working properly along with the controller. But as I say , even though we never put the 'hot water' to come on the water from the taps is very very hot. Thanks for your help
Turn it down. Pretty sure mine is set around 44°C. Don't forget, if your HWC is anything like mine, 44°C at the bottom of that cylinder will give you water that is plenty hot enough at the tap. Trial and error. Empty the cylinder, let it reach temperature and switch off. Try it at 40°C first and go up from there until you are happy with the temperature at the taps.
