Hi all,

We've had our original rim locks restored (new springs, paint stripped, refinished) and they've come back looking lovely (photo below).
Sadly the original dome-top screws were beyond saving.

Any suggestions of a sympathetic modern screw type for mounting these back onto the doors?

Thanks,
Steve

For Rim locks I use
BLACK JAPANNED SLOTTED ROUND DOME SLOT HEAD WOOD SCREWS

Noting that I find the slot a bit soft and easy to damage so I always use these screws with a pilot hole.

Otherwise Perhaps
brass SLOTTED ROUND DOME SLOT HEAD WOOD SCREWS
Might stand out more for your application.

Thanks so much - 'Black Japanned' seemed to be the magic search term I needed.
Found some ideal screws now.

Many thanks for the uodate.
Great to hear.

Don't forget the pilot hole.
