I (foolishly) took the (Victorian) rim lock off our sitting-room door when decorating and it all fell apart. I now can't get it back together again.

Inside there is a sort of 2 pronged propeller that turns on the handle spindle and it should strike a sprung strip- trouble is it doesn't now. It was a bit dodgy before. Now it's worse!

Anyone got any photos or diagrams or experinece of this type of lock, please?

thanks

Meon - might be easier if you could lay-out all your lock bits then post a picture here, so we can see what you've got, then we can suggest the re-build order.

You could always take another one off of another door (if you have one the same) and look see :D
