I've got my Hikvision video doorbell setup with the rest of the cctv stuff, and now need to install it.
It's got an IP54 rating (same as a ring) and can stick it in the porch by the front door, or, outside the porch by the porch door.
What's the wisdom of an IP54 video doorbell outside? Field of view is better on the porch/can hide wires etc.
It is exposed though and will get soaked.
