Viessman Vitodens 100-W + Vitotrol 100

I recently had a Veissmann 100-W boiler installed with a Vitotrol 100 thermostat. As far as I know, both devices can operate in OpenTherm mode, but the boiler's operating mode is set to option 4 in menu C.7, even though I don't have an external temperature sensor. When I try to change option 4 to option 14, I get an error message F.95 on the boiler. Is there anything else I need to set?
