Anyone know whether the pressure on this boiler is far too low or half bar. I know most boilers should be set at one bar.

Also how do I top this up? Haven't moved into the property yet. See the small middle knob under the boiler or could it be the turn valves at the side?

Should be 1bar when cold

The filling link is the braided metal hose joining the 2 pipes in the top right of the vertical pipework

3amp Fused spur needs to be replaced instead of a bathroom extractor switch. Looking at the pic. And why people put the double check valve on the heating side of the filling loop is beyond me.

Electrical isolating switch should be a 3amp fused switch spur not an extractor fan switch. The filling loop valves are the wrong way around in my eyes. Doesnt make a difference to filling the system. Just me being picky

There might be a fused spur elsewhere, the isolator just isolates the boiler. What's wrong with that? Check valves were the norm years ago on both. What's your problem?

Bit of an assumption there. I just see whats in the pic, if your that daft to have an extractor switch after a fused spur so be it. . Older filling loops had only one iso. But this hasnt, if you cant understand the advantage of having the standard iso on the heating side, i guess thers no hope. You do what the feck you want . Was i jumping down the op throat ? No. So get of your high horse.

Let's be nice.

To be honest I bought the house as a project to work on so it came as is. That said the boiler was only installed two years ago by a reputable local firm.

Nothing wrong with the boiler. Fitted over 200 of them models. Just the fact the rubber hoses crunch up. But besides that fact, rarely have any probs. to be fair to viessmann, did a landlords on one this week. Few hours later it came up with a fault. I used to be a viessmann warranty agent. And had a spare control board and knew the fault. Boiler was under warranty and i cant fault the customer service i was given. In the end they sent me a new board to replace mine, as it was a friday they would only get someone around on monday maybe saturday, cant fault that this time of year. And i had a house full of students. And Landlords a decent bloke. But the fact the pcb cost between £3-350 trade is what puts me off the boiler after its 5 years is up. Not the first board iv replaced as well.

Unfortunately the Intergas PCB is the same, plus VAT. Don't understand why some of these import firms think that's a good idea.

I turned the right black tap valve thing on this photo but it did not increase the pressure and I do not hear any water fill. Do I also need to turn the black tap valve on the left hand side of the photos well? This one feels warm at the moment because the boiler was on but is a little bit stiff just worried something might burst for date wrong is this okay which way should I be turning this?

Also the boiler must be off correct?

Actually don't worry I've just done it. Turned both taps and closed both taps.

I guess the right one is obviously fresh cold water going up to the loft extension but I don't understand why they out a second valve on. It it for safety to ensure no water backfield into the cold supply from the boiler?
