Viessmann WB2B Combi Fault

Hi,

I have a 7 year old Viessmann WB2B combi. I noticed last night when I went to bed that the boiler was still on when it would normally be off at this time. The boiler remained on throughout the night.
There are no fault codes but the tap symbol remains on all the time, we have no heating but the hot water works fine.

Simple diverter motor fault or the signs of something more major? Any ideas?

Took the flow switch off and there was a 4mm shard of what looked like copper.

All cleaned up and working as normal.
