Hi again y'all
For a new guy I have a lot of problems eh?
Someone has just spilt a whole bottle of vinegar over my unglaved floor tiles and despite copious swabbing with cleaning agents they look awful when dry - the vinegar has turned them light grey instead of their natural grey/brown stone - it looks like someone has thrown white paint across the floor. Is there any antidote to this problem or should I spread vinegar over the rest of the floor and enjoy the new interesting colour (joke)
Thanks

you may be joking but unfortunately it may be your only option. Vinegar contains acetic acid (i think that is the one) which has unfortunatley "eaten" the top layer of your tiles

Well, I think I have the solution. A visiting German friend tried some oil on the stain and it seemed to do the trick so I've liberally applied motor oil over the area. It looks OK at the moment and apart from being a little slippy at first, it seems fairly OK. Whether this is sa good long-term solution I have yet to find out! Watch this space!
