Hi,
I'm laying some laminate (balterio) and wondering which is the best underlay to use.
It's going on a chipboard subfloor and I'm aware I shouldn't use an underlay with a DPM as the subfloor needs to breath.
I don't want to use the fibre underlay boards in case they rot in the future.
Would Vitrex Premier Underlay board be a good choice for the underlay?

It has moisture and damp protection and anti-mould qualities, but I wasn't sure if it would act as a DPM and cause me problems (I'm afraid I can't find much info online about the product)
It 's very light and feels almost like a polystyrene material.

Many thanks for any help

I am looking for the same answer. I have asked the producer of Vitrex Premium underlay and they responded that it could be used, however I am not convinced as they did not react to my suggestion regarding moisture barrier property of the product with combination of wooden subfloor, in my case plywood. Is the risk of fibre boards swelling/ rotting high?

I too would be grateful if someone could comment on this.
