Hi

Last night my vivaro cut out whilst driving and will not start. It turns over but does not seem to be getting diesel through.

The black manual pump when squeezed does not do anything and there seems to be air in the system.

Any ideas what to do and where to start.

Make ....................Vauxhall
Model ....................Vivaro
Engine size/Type .............1.9 cdti
Year ...............................2004
Mileage .........................115000

Thanks

Have now got it running via a 5 gallon of diesel straight into the pump, so thats a relief

looks like air leak into line somewhere

Hello Burnt ,

I have a 53 plate Trafic , a good while ago I had a problem with it not starting , driven round generally ok when one Morning the Motor wouldnt fire up , It was spinning round but not firing atb all

Got the RAC to check it out and they decided that the Crankshaft or the Camshaft Sensor had "gone down" (open circuit?)

Off the the Garage where it was confirmed they had both gone down , When working they send a message to the ECU telling it to send Fuel from the Pump to the Injectors , when they are down they stop the Message for Fuel

Both were replaced about 2 years ago and all now is cushty (fingers crossed)

Good luck fella it`s a pain in the Arse when the Van goes awol innit

Hi Phil,

I had that problem too!! about 2 years ago, Then the gear box went!!

Have sorted this problem as the fuel line was faulty

cant decide whether I should sell it or whether its a case of better the devil you know.

Oh well, just waiting for the fuel pump to go and ruin all the injectors
