The pressure on my Vokera 24e boiler drops to the extent that I have to top up dailly. The guy who serviced it says that the auto airvent needs replaced.

In the estimate he quotes Vokera part no 4254 at a cost of £38 + 2 hours labour 0f £70 + vat. Toatal cost £130

I can source the part for under a tenner. Is this an easy enough part to fit myself?

To me its easy but then I do boiler repairs!

The quote is perhaps a little on the high side if its a "follow -on" from a boiler service but still not unreasonable.

We would have quoted £55 plus £13 totalling £68 !

so you are paddling through the room then :?:

cos the water is going somewhere ;)

I don't know where the water is going. It must be under the floorboards as no signs of water around the radiators.

Would I be best to get a leak sealer through the system at the same time?

Have you checked that it isnt coming out of the Pressure relief valve
Does the pressure go right up when the system reaches temperature?
