can anyone tell me why my hot water runs cold even though the thermostat says the temperature is 70 degrees and the radiators are warm?.the boiler does not seem to" kick in ".an engineer in aug 05 said that a pipe that brings air into the boiler had become loose and this is what was causing the problem.he reconnected the pipe and the system did seem to work for a while but i`m now lucky to get 2 inches of lukewarm water even though the heating has been on all day.the water pressure drops quite a lot as well and has to be topped up frequently.the boiler is about 12 years old.
