My boiler keeps locking out every so often when asking for hot water. when i reset it ,it works ok for a few days then goes off again.seems to work fine on c/h mode,anyone any ideas. thanks

When it locks out what code does the display show ?

code is 01 no ignition.but when i reset it works ok

does it have any pattern Dave ? is it more common first thing in the morning ? or is it just random ?

The 01 code means non ignition, basically the boiler goes through its ignition sequence and once the flame is established the boiler has a set time to recognise this and if it doesnt in the allocated time then it will lock out and show the code 01, there are a few things on your boiler that can cause this to happen if the boiler is actually firing up, unfortunately the site rules prevent me from telling you anything further, look through the viewing window and see if the flame is actually established before it locks out, it may be a meter fault , do you have a gas hob or something that would rule this out ?

yes i have a gas hob that works ok.
