Vokera lock out when using hot water!

Hi all.


I have searched to see if this has been raised before on here but no luck.

I have a Vokera 96e Excell combi-boiler which is working fine when the CH is on, but when hot water is turned on, it locks out after about 20 secs, then i have to reset the unit.

even when the CH is off and HW is called, it locks out.

Anyone have any ideas

Sounds like the plate HE blocked and the boiler going to overheat

ok, where is the plate HE so i can take a look? Is it a quick fix?

not something i would recommend looking into, literally.
even if it is fool of gunk, cleaning it would do little good as the gunk floating around in your system would soon fill it up again

uh oh.....So what would your recommendation be?

get the gunk out of the system.
if this is done by powerflush, almost surely the plate hex will come free too.
