Vokera Maxin 24e not igniting

My Vokera won't ignite but when I take off the inner cover I hear a slight 'sucking' sound and hey presto she lights.

Any ideas?

Get a RGI to look at it!

When was it last serviced? From what you write, certainly not 12 months ago.

Serviced quite recently, had a new heat exchanger and other items fitted.

Why would it light when the inner cover is off? Do the boilers run on a vacuum?

Because the boiler needs to be serviced correctly (as per the manual)

So a boiler can't have any faults between services, hmm interesting.

Its ok I have now had the answer elsewhere.
