VW T-roc engine oil grade

16.03.2020 reg, 54k miles 1.0 petrol

The oil selectors quote 0w30 (504/507) for 2018-20 and 0w20 (508/509) for 2020-21. For the reg, the local main VW confirmed 0w20.

Some folk suggest 5w30 (504/507) for better wear protection.

Can I ask what other TRoc owners use please?

I'll be using a Mann oil filter.

Any would be fine but if it was me, I’d go for either of the 30's.
