it seems to wash but does not spin and seems not to pump out.

she says it does not pump out during the wash.

I have verified that it is not on spin delay

blocked pump, do you think?

a good mc wont spin if too much water in it (pressure switch says so) so its either pump filter blocked, pump blocked or pipe blocked is what my money would be on.

for the pump follow the grey pipe from where ever to the m/c

I will take a big spanner to it at the weekend

Will I have to take the pump apart, or can I clean it by poking through the filter hatch?

I have a spare bung/hatch and filter assembly.

I unscrewed the filter hatch and found a small amount of what looked like grey cardboard in it.

the filter hatch broke when removing it, but I had bought a new one already.

I did not know until I tipped it up and took off the bottom plate that next to the hatch is a small black hose to allow manual draining at times like this. By the time I worked this out I had already emptied it onto the kitchen floor
