i am making an ensuite and want to put in wall hung toilet and basin as make room look bigger. i have seen metal hanging systems for 2-300 pounds, but wondered if i could build something myself. the room is in the roof and the toilet will go on the wall supporting the purling which i can gain access behind, i wondered if i connected to the 4*2s and put some bracing into the roof void it would work. any experience or suggestions cheers jon

always a good idea to save a few £££'s

but in this case buy a decent wall mounting bracket it will save you £££'s i have seen homemade wc supports and broken wc pans.
always secure very well to solid surface.
also to make room look bigger fit a smaller basin, this needs correct mounting as well.
good luck
