i'd like to put 2 wall mounted spots over a worktop in the kitchen, and would normally take a feed off the ceiling light to power them. however, i've no access to the ceiling void, so was wondering if i could take a spur from a wall socket, and feed the 2 lamps that way? the lights have a switch on their bases.

please let me know.

thanks

so long as the sockets are on a ring, you put a 3 amp fuse in the spur, and use 2.5mm t & e cable from socket to spur then yes you can

breezer,

thanks a lot - that's going to make the world of difference

cheers

Ian
