New to forum so Thankful for any help!

From the outside of the house we can see one corner of the wall looks saturated and we have started to experience some damp inside.

There seems to be a very small gap between the outlet corner piece and the downpipe. Should we try taping this to see if we can temporarily stop any leak, initially to check if this is the problem or perhaps just replace it anyway?

Does it sound like this could be the problem?

Appreciate any advice.

the outlet fits INTO downpipe. If the outlet collar or the pipe has been broken renew, but temp wide tape to stop the water coming out onto the wall is ok. do the work asap water plays havoc over time
