I renovate about 3 properties a year, which always involves stripping off old wallpaper, often that's been painted

I currently use one of these:

Cheap, cheerful, okay, but does take a while to soak into the paper and so stripping's rarely fast.

I'm temtped by a professional model like:

Basically, not sure how much time it's going to knock off the jobs. If a 3 hour rooms becomes 2 hours it's probably worth it, but not sure if a lot fo the cost is to buy a more rugged trade piece of kit and hence if it would actually make the job a lot faster.

Anyone got experience of a DIY and trade stripper who can advise?

The trade tool will have a longer life expectancy, but I doubt it would reduce a three hour job by a third. It will however be slightly quicker and the plate covers a larger area.

But do not use it outdoors if it is raining.
