Wallpaper stripping pulled some plaster off.

I was planning to strip the wallpaper off of all 4 walls but the paper had stuck to the layer of paint underneath and pulled the paint off too in places.

The plaster came off in a few places too.

I want the walls to look smooth after painting so do I need to get the whole wall skimmed?

Just fill with a suitable filler (Polyfilla) then rub down,

If you are still worried a good lining paper would help
