Anyone know when they stopped selling this :?: sold by weight ie. small tin held 4 lb.

Indeed. I just remember my grandfather using it before Brolac PEP  . I got a tin in good condition...and put it on that " Online auction site"

Brolac PEP was one of the best covering emulsions out. It would cover black with white in one coat, fantastic stuff.

I think the top covering emulsions were in the days when lead was OK. I think it's titanium oxide today.

Didn't those chimps advertise Walpamur?

Dont think there was any lead in emulsion was there ?? Most expensive ingriedient in emulsion is titanium dioxide, some of the cheaper brands put more bulking agents in like whitening.
