Want to extend the patio over ground where conifers live

Hi all

I have some conifers at the end of my garden which I'd like to remove as I'd like to extend the patio.

Would it be possible to chainsaw these down to ground level, then put some concrete slabs over the top?

I'd like to extend so I can put my shed further back.
