I am building a single storey, flat roof extension, and approaching finished wall height ( thermalite inner, 100mm full fill insulation with block outer skin.)
I would like to ask advice on the roof construction.
Do I need to use a wall plate on the inner leaf to attach the joists or sit directly onto the wall, fixing with straps. Or can I fix joists between walls using simpson safety fast joist hangers on the inner leaf with a wall plate on the house wall ?
Also do I need to close the wall cavity as there is full fill insulation ?
