Hello, I'm new to this forum so please advise if I have posted this in the wrong section.

I am repositioning WM and will need to extend the drain hose. Is there any logical reason why I cannot use 21.5mm rigid pipe instead of the more usual corrugated flexible extensions? To my way of thinking, a dead straight run offers far less resistance to the pump and promotes a neater installation further down the line.

Air break would occur at sink waste exactly as it would if flexible pipe used.

Thanks for any opinions

As long as the joint between the 2 pipes is sealed then I would not have thought you would have any problem.

Thank you jj4091. It will be well sealed because the drain water is indeed under pressure from the drain pump.
