So we have just moved home and I've went to fit the washing machine and the drainage hose won't fit.

Here is what I'm working with.

I'm about 20cm too short to fit it. I thought I needed a longer hose 2.5m but upon inspection the original hose is 2.5m just that a metre is inside the machine.

I've tried all manor of configurations but it will not fit.

Should I just get an extender or is there a better way?

An extension piece IS the bset way, or just a plain old longer hose (Assuming it's not integral to the machine)

Yes, it's ok to extend the original using the extension and connector, couple of jubilee's for extra piece of mind

Well it's finally fixed. I used the connector along with a couple of jubilee clips then put some duct tape around the join for good measure and now all is well.

Thanks for all the help.

I don't think duct tape will do much good except hide any leaks.
