Hi there,
Friend's washing machine (Whirlpool Emotion 1200 - which I think is not on the market outside Belgium) is repeatedly showing an error message (FP) and either stopping mid-cycle or taking too long to complete cycle.
Not having the repair manual, I am trying to go through the basic steps.
The only problem: the filter won't come out. I have fully unscrewed it but when I pull it only comes part of the way out and I have to jiggle it to get it back in.
Does this mean something is jammed in there preventing the filter from being removed? If so, any advice on how to get the filter out?
Thanks all.[/b]

yes pull it out brute force ,you have coins/hairclip etc in there.

Thanks for that. Had a good old tug at the filter earlier to no avail. Will try again tomorrow. If I have no joy, I read elsewhere:

"I've had cases where the filter appeared to be jammed and wouldn't come out. It proved to be an under wire from a bra or another obstruction that was entangled in it and prevented it turning to screw out. I had to remove the hose leading into the pump and retrieve the obstruction from there."

That seems to be a little more complicated, so I hope a good yank will do it.
